When our longtime San Francisco client purchased a vacation home at the exclusive Yellowstone Club we couldn’t wait to customize the 7,000 square foot space for their cosmopolitan family. The interior design scheme layers in sophisticated contemporary furnishings in saturated jewel tones with playful patterns, hand-painted wall treatments and statement lighting for a stylish (but not too serious) mountain retreat. Sculptural sofas flank the fireplace in the formal living room with walnut and steel coffee tables and artwork by Melissa Dickenson. The warm, neutral palette continues in the dining room which features a walnut table with brass inlay, oversized artwork and a dramatic light fixture.
Hand-painted walls by San Francisco decorative artist Caroline Lizarraga serve as the backdrop in the luxe primary bedroom as well as in the office. The media room features a custom modular 7 piece sectional which provides flexible lounging for movie watching and playing games. Our interior designers optimized the home to accommodate frequent houseguests, with custom double queen beds in the guest rooms and a bespoke bunk bed in the kids bedroom.
