Our San Francisco clients purchased the condo down the hall from their main residence and enlisted the help of Niche Interiors to transform the dated unit into a modern space for entertaining larger groups and for their growing kids to hang out with friends. Our team of interior designers revamped the entire home with a focus on sustainable design, with FSC certified oak floors, zero-VOC paint, window treatments and built-ins in the dining room and music room.
This family is not afraid of color or pattern, so our interior designers gave them ample doses of both! The living room features a curved sofa by Vladimir Kagan, vintage-inspired armchairs in blue velvet and an acrylic coffee table with sculptural brass legs. We transformed two niches in the dining area into a swanky bar with custom colored mirrors and glass shelves. The “hang out room” off the living room was designed as a space for the kids to play while the grownups mingle – a custom modular sofa can be configured in multiple ways, for lounging or playing board games. The Niche Interiors team turned an outdated office into a music room by adding colorful built-in storage for housing a record collection and board games.
