Party at Versailles celebrating luxury interior design industry
kicking off 2020 with fresh inspiration

We jump started the New Year with an inspiring trip to Paris for the Déco Off and Maison & Objet shows! Interior designers from across the U.S. convene in Paris to see the latest fabric, wallcovering and furniture collections. The week flew by with incredible vendor presentations, gallery tours, museums, and exploring showrooms throughout the city.

Maison&Objet and Déco Off are two of the most important events in the world of design and interior decoration. Both fairs take place annually in Paris, and attract a global audience of designers, architects, buyers, and enthusiasts. Maison&Objet was founded in 1995 as a platform to showcase the latest trends and innovations in design and interior decoration. The fair is held twice a year, in January and September, and features a wide range of products from furniture and lighting to textiles and accessories. Maison&Objet is known for its high-quality exhibitors and innovative design concepts, and has become a must-attend event for anyone interested in contemporary design.

Déco Off, on the other hand, is a more recent addition to the Paris design calendar. The event was founded in 2010 as a response to the growing demand for textile and interior decoration products. Deco Off takes place concurrently with Maison&Objet, and features a range of exhibitors showcasing the latest fabrics, wallpapers, and other interior decoration products.

Both Maison&Objet and Déco Off are known for their strong curatorial vision and emphasis on quality over quantity. The fairs are carefully curated to showcase the most exciting and innovative products in the world of design and interior decoration. In addition to the main exhibitions, there are also a number of satellite events, such as talks and workshops, which offer visitors the chance to learn more about the latest trends and innovations in the industry.

A major trip highlight was a masquerade party and private tour at the Palace of Versailles hosted by Jiun Ho (one of our favorite San Francisco furniture designers), Cambria, Lance Woven, and Sandra Jordan. What an unforgettable soirée! Experiencing the magnificence of Versailles at night with an elite group of interior designers and creatives was amazing, and the extravagant firework show at the end of the evening was the icing on the cake!
